registerEvent()

Returns the specified class if it exists.

registerEvent(eventClassName, handler)

Parameters:

  • eventClassName (String): The fully qualified Java class name of the event to listen to. Example: "org.bukkit.event.player.PlayerJoinEvent"

  • handler (Function): A JavaScript function that will be called with the event object whenever the event triggers.

  • Returns: A Listener object, which can later be used to unregister the event.


Example:

Join event listener
var joinListener = registerEvent("org.bukkit.event.player.PlayerJoinEvent", function(event) {
    var player = event.getPlayer();
    player.sendMessage("Welcome to the server, " + player.getName() + "!");
});
